Kevin Kabambi (1999, DRC) is a photographer with a degree in fine arts from the Institute of Fine Arts in Lubumbashi. During the 2017 and 2019 editions of the Lubumbashi Biennale, he assisted the artists and collaborated with Mega Mingiedi. His work has been exhibited at the Biennial of Bucaramanga (Colombia), the Festival of Photography in Arles (France) and, he participated in a collective photo exhibition "The Reflections of the Image" in Spain (2018). Interested in themes of architecture, heritage and family, Kevin Kabambi anchors his work on the Congo and questions the colonial legacy in the Congo by assembling photography, drawings, archives and videos. His project "Amalgams" (2022), about the mining environment of Gécamines, is influenced by Sammy Baloji and Kiripi Katembo.
