Lambick Meli is a Congolese dancer, choreographer, author-composer and performer born in Lubumbashi. Through his art, he frees people from family and social frameworks. His goal is to get people out of the straitjacket of society that imposes a way of life, too often inadequate. His artistic approach explores social issues and invites his audience to reflect and to be critical.
He is interested in and actively participates in rural encounters around traditional dance and song, organized in different parts of the city. In 2004, he formed a duo to perform the songs of the parish of Saint Martin de la Katuba. In 2010, he joined the dance company Harlem2arts and then performed in the creations "Kidumu" and "Ngomo na tshombo" in 2011, created at the French Institute in Lubumbashi.
